Using Gramext responsibly and professionally

These terms cover the software license, your account and billing, acceptable use, and what happens with AI-generated output — for anyone evaluating Gramext in a real workflow.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Gramext account or using the desktop app or hosted web app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Gramext.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you're using Gramext on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm you're authorized to bind that organization to these terms, and "you" refers to that organization.

The service

Gramext runs AI-assisted actions — reply, polish, summarize, translate, and any custom actions you configure — against text you select or capture, using a desktop app plus a hosted web companion for account, history, and billing.
The product is designed for productivity assistance, not autonomous or high-stakes decision-making.
Feature availability, supported models, and plan limits may evolve as the product grows; see "Changes to these terms" below for how we handle updates.

License to use the software

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Gramext desktop app on devices you control, for your own personal or internal business use, subject to these terms.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product.
We may release updates automatically or prompt you to install them; some updates may be required to keep using the service.
This license ends automatically if you violate these terms or your account is terminated.

Accounts

You can create an account with Google, Microsoft, or an email and password. You're responsible for keeping your credentials and connected devices secure, and for all activity under your account.
Tell us right away at support@gramext.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including the email address we use for billing and account notices.

Plans, credits, and billing

Paid plans (Starter, Pro) renew automatically each month at the price shown on the Pricing page, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel. Subscribing authorizes us to charge that payment method on a recurring basis.
You can cancel anytime from the Membership page or the Stripe billing portal. Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period, then moves to Free automatically.
Upgrades take effect immediately, with new credits added right away and the new price prorated for the current period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, so there's no partial-period charge to refund. If something goes wrong with a charge, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Credit top-ups are one-time purchases that take effect immediately once payment is confirmed.
Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle, with any unused amount rolling over up to your plan's limit; purchased top-up credits don't expire. Some plans also have a daily request limit. Exact numbers are on the Pricing page and may change with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
If a renewal charge fails, we may restrict your ability to run actions until it's resolved or the subscription is cancelled after payment retries are exhausted.

Your content and AI-generated output

You keep ownership of the text you submit and any custom prompts you write, and you're responsible for having the right to submit that content.
You grant us the limited right to process your submitted text and prompts as needed to run the action you request — including sending it to our AI provider — and, if you've enabled it, to save and sync your history, as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated output is provided for your own use. Because it comes from a third-party AI model, we don't guarantee it's accurate, original, or free of third-party rights — review it before relying on or distributing it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Gramext in ways that violate law, third-party rights, or these terms — for example, to generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content.
Don't try to circumvent plan limits, credit metering, or device limits, or interfere with the service's normal operation.
Maintain appropriate safeguards when handling confidential or regulated data — see the Privacy Policy for how AI actions are processed.
Keep human oversight in your workflow; treat generated outputs as draft assistance, not a final decision.

Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Gramext available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, including our AI provider being unreachable.
We may add, change, or remove features, models, or plan limits as the product evolves.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Gramext and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or if required by law, and where practical we'll tell you why. We may also restrict access if a subscription payment fails and isn't resolved.
Terms that by their nature should survive account termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply afterward.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Gramext is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gramext isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated output.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date, and where a change is significant, we'll ask you to actively re-accept them (for example, at your next billing action).
Continuing to use Gramext after a change means you accept the updated terms.
